Migrating agents from 7.6 to 8.0. While migrating NS from 7.6 to 8.0

I am currently running NS 7.6 HF7. I plan on moving to NS 8 in the next six months or so. I am waiting on a new server for NS and 8.0 will be a clean install. From the agent's perspective when the NS migration happens; should I leave the agents alone and let the new NS8 (with different server name) upgrade all my agents? Or should I do a mass agent removal with NS7.6 before I switch over the NS8?
