I am trying to get new desktop images burned to a bootable DVD that includes ghost or RDeploy. I have been able to get images on a bootable dvd like this in the past. One difference this time around is the images are bigger. I have two images; one for Windows 7 which is around 8 GB, the other is WIndows XP that is around 6.5GB.
My WIndows 7 images never made to a DVD yet because I did not obtain dual layer dvd till recent. My old XP images were about 3-3.5 GB and they worked fine without any problems. This time I get the error just as WinPE needs to load
"Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem."
File: \Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc000014c
Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot confiuration data.
Referencing someone else's similar problem: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/pro... looks like an image larger than 4GB is causing this???? Not sure because the resolution is not on that page. Does anyone have a resolution for this?
