We have 21 Site Servers and our Notification Server is setup as a task server but not a package server. Our Site servers are all task and package servers. Each of our 21 locations are starting to create Images and I am having them set up the images to replicate only to thier Site Server as the other locations would have no use of thier images.
My first question is when you go to disc images and dounble click an image name and you have the four tabs package, Programs, Package SErvers and Advanced. One the first tab Package at the very bottom you have Package files will be deleted from the client computer if unused for: If you leave this at 1 week I am assuming it will delete it off our Site Server if it isn't deployed within a week and if we want to keep it should it be set to Never Delete.
Second question is when we set this up the Intuitive engineer that help set up our enviroment said that since our NS isn't a package server that the images would only be stored on our Site Servers so we gave all our site servers enough drive space to hold each locations images and we didn't allow that much space on our Notificaiton Server for images from 21 locations. I was talking with a Symantec Customer Service rep and he said all images are saved on the NS as well as whatever SIte server it replicates to. Is this true? If so we are so screwed because again we were under the impression that each locations Site Server would manage thier software packages and images and NS wouln't need to have alot of drive space.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
